What colours would work well for your business?
Have you seen sites you really like? Or any you really loathe? If so, why?
There are so many questions. How do you even begin?
What exactly do your customers need?
The most important part of web design is meeting the needs of your target market. It is vital to approach the ideas for your website from the perspective of a prospective customer. What will they hope to find?
Brochure style websites
The most common type of website for small businesses is a brochure style website. The clue is in the name. It is a digital version of a paper brochure. What does your business offer? Who are you? What services can you offer? What do previous customers think about you? Where are you and how can you be contacted?
Answering these questions would lead us to create a brochure site of no more than 5 pages.
The key is to imagine that you are seeing the brochure for the first time. Would you bother to pick it up and browse through it? Or is it rather dog-eared, the text doesn’t read well and it doesn’t offer answers to your questions?
Our websites are created based on meeting the needs of your target market. They answer questions.
They are attractive, eye-catching and easy to navigate. They function equally well on all devices and we can even offer the option of a blog page. as I discussed in my own blog ” Why blog?”, blogging keeps your internet presence fresh. It can be shared on all your social media platforms and helps to spread the word that you exist and are open for business. We offer an additional blog page in our list of packages.
A website can be beautiful, but if it doesn’t perform well when searched, no-one will ever find you. It will sit there like a beautiful relic.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is key to helping your site reach your customers. It is a complex business and importantly an ever-changing one. I have come to realise that this is a game I will never stop learning about. But I plan to keep learning!
Great SEO all happens in the design of your site, key words, meta-descriptions, ensuring you are listed on such places as Google my Business and really great content. Add to that blogging, gaining fantastic customer reviews, it is a huge area. But I can help you with that.
